Collaborators
We will collect data by interviewing participants from four different Health and Demographic Surveillance System sites (HDSSs). Alongside these, we will also develop a new sample in the United States.
This five-site cross-cultural dataset will be built, in part, from the pre-existing infrastructure of the HDSSs, and their previous largescale data collection efforts, to provide an efficient, unique, and powerful longitudinal dataset capable of rigorously testing our core project predictions.
Our main data collection procedures at the HDSSs will involve a core team member (co-PI and /or postdoc) traveling to each site to work with project partners, to engage in initial ethnography, develop survey protocols, and employ local staff to collect data.
